DESCRIPTION:The Irish Heritage Club & The Ulster Historical Foundation host an all Ireland\, all day\, genealogy seminar on March 2nd 2025 at Archbishop Murphy High School\,12911 39th Ave SE\, Everett. WA 98208. \nThe Ulster Historical Foundation’s North American Tour stops in Everett\, on March 2nd for an engaging genealogy seminar. This interactive event offers a unique opportunity to explore Irish and Scots-Irish ancestry with expert guidance. Attendees will gain valuable insights\, research tips\, and access to resources for tracing family histories. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Presenters \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFintan Mullan is Executive Director of The Ulster Historical Foundation\, which he joined in 1995\, and has been responsible for the management of this successful\, Belfast-based\, educational non-profit since 2001. \nHe has experience in Irish family history research and is a regular international speaker on Irish genealogy\, having spoken in Ireland\, Britain\, Australia\, New Zealand\, Canada and most of the lower 48 states of the USA. SUMMARY:Memorial Day Mass  St Patrick Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:Memorial Day Mass Monday\, May 27\, 10:30 am St. Patrick Cemetery\, S 204th St & Orillia Rd S\, Kent (just off I-5\, 1 mile east of Sea-Tac Airport). Please join us at the Seattle area’s small Irish Pioneer Cemetery (see https://mynorthwest.com/575529/st-patrick-cemetery-kent/) to honor those who have fallen in service to our nation. We will also remember all who are buried at St. Patrick\, many of whom are Irish Famine emigrants. Following Mass\, the US flag will be raised from half-staff to full mast by an Honor Guard as the National Anthem is played. Then a wreath will be laid at the grave of a veteran and the day’s ceremonies will conclude with the solemn playing of taps. A limited number of lawn chairs will be provided – extra chairs welcomed! DESCRIPTION:53rd Annual St Patricks Day Parade starts at Jefferson St. & 4th Ave on March 16th at 12:30 PM \nGrammy-Winning Composer Mateo Messina named as Grand Marshal. \nMateo Messina’s illustrious career\, highlighted by a Grammy for his work on the film Juno\, is marked by compositions for film\, television\, and the symphony. Noteworthy recent contributions include hits like The Wrong Missy\, Tall Girl\, and Blockers. \nBeyond his cinematic achievements\, Messina has composed and premiered over 24 symphonies at Benaroya Hall\, raising an impressive $2\,000\,000 for Seattle Children’s Hospital since the age of 23. Messina\, whose Irish roots trace back to Co. Mayo\, Co. Wexford\, Co. Clare\, and Co. Fermanagh\, has been inspired to explore his heritage through music. His composition\, “The Voice of Finnegan Farrell\,” performed at Benaroya Hall and narrated by Rev. Barry Keating\, reflects this deep connection.
